Our story

Wasteland is a family business which was created in the 2000s by two English friends. Passionated by punk-rock and early techno music, they started by traveling all around Europe to sell preloved clothes - in festivals as Roskilde or  - and to party. 

In 2003, after years of wildlife they settled in Studiestræde 5, in the well-known Copenhagen gay district in the city center. The shop moved to a new place, just a few meters further in the street to grow and become step by step the Wasteland you know today. 

In 2021, our passion for thrifted clothes led us to Iceland : we opened a second shop in Reykjavik, where locals can enjoy our wide selection of items. 

We are sourcing our high quality products in North America and Japan, which is giving to the shop this special and unique personality. We like to help people to express themselves through sustainable and affordable fashion. It’s important for us to give maximum access to different styles - from Y2K outfits to old vintage treasures.

20 years after the creation of the shop, it was time to bring Wasteland to the Internet. We decided to upgrade it with the creation of an e-shop. We are gathering the 80’s retro-gaming vibes of our logo with the atmosphere of 2003 to build wasteland.dk. The ambition is to provide first rate clothes all around Denmark, Scandinavia and Europe.
